The Trust Fund is managed by a Board of Directors elected for a term of three years by the Assembly of State Parties. The Board governs the secretariat of the Trust Fund for Victims and is in charge of establishing and directing the Fund’s activities and projects and the allocation of resources.

In addition, the Board members are active in the field of raising funds for the Fund. Each member will serve in an individual capacity on a pro bono basis.

The Board is currently composed of Elisabeth Rehn of Finland, Ms Betty Kaari Murungi of Kenya, Mr Bulgaa Altangerel of Mongolia, Mr Eduardo Pizarro Leongómez of Colombia and Ms Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga of Latvia.
