The Third Session of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) took place in The Hague from 6-10 September 2004. Among the many important decisions taken during the meeting, governments from the 94-member Assembly adopted the ICC's 2005 budget; elected the Deputy Prosecutor for Prosecutions, Ms. Fatou Bensouda of The Gambia; adopted the Relationship Agreement between the ICC and the UN; established a secretariat for the Victims Trust Fund; and adopted revised procedures on the nomination and election of judges. The Assembly also elected Ambassador Bruno Stagno to serve as its next President, who began his term of office at the Fourt Assembly of States Parties meeting held in The Hague in November 2005.
