14th Session

From 18 to 26 November 2015, the fourteenth session of the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) to the Rome Statute of the ICC will be held in The Hague. Representatives from the now 123 ICC Member States, who together form the ASP and thus the management oversight and legislative body of the International Criminal Court, will gather to discuss and decide a number of issues central to the Court's operations. The Court’s budget for 2016 will be adopted as well as a number of resolutions such as on the cooperation of states with the Court and on strengthening the work of both the Court and the ASP. Plenary discussions will be held on complementarity; enhancing the expediency of the ICC judicial process; and cooperation. The ASP will also elect members of the Board of Directors of the Trust Fund for Victims.

The ASP is a pivotal event for non-governmental organisations (NGOs). More than one hundred representatives from NGOs across the globe attend the session, including representatives from NGOs from ICC situation countries and countries under preliminary examination by the Office of the Prosecutor. The continued commitment of NGOs to invest time and resources in the ASP is a clear indication of the sustained support for the Rome Statute system of justice. The consultative arrangements for NGOs in the ASP and the Court are extraordinary and this constructive cooperation remains evident throughout the ASP sessions.

This page features the various statements, papers and reports issued by NGO members of the Coalition around the fourteenth ASP session.
